Our patients and their loved ones arrive as friends but quickly become our family. The facility staff strives to provide our patients with first class customer service and care. Patient satisfaction and quality outcomes is a top priority of our entire staff.
We feel that we do not work in a facility but rather we work in the patient’s home. We strive to provide patient-centered care around the clock. We ask the patient about their normal routine from wake up time to shower or bath time, how they enjoyed spending their free time and accommodate those needs.
We provide medical care in a clean, friendly environment and offer personalized comprehensive support services to enable each patient to achieve optimal physical and emotional health.

Physical Therapy
The physical therapy program at Breese Nursing Home is individualized to help the resident attain the best progress and results. The therapist evaluates the resident and meets with the resident and family to develop a comprehensive program to maximize results.
Skilled physical therapy includes:
- Training in areas of bed mobility, transfers and gait (with or without an assistive device)
- Treatment of lower extremity dysfunction
- Strength training and coordination
- Pain Management
- Balance Training
- Amputee care and prosthetics
- Osteopathic release
- Physical agent modalities such as ultrasound
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy helps with tasks such as combing hair, brushing teeth, activities of daily living. Our professional occupational therapists assist the resident to regain the ability to function and live more actively and independently and improve the resident’s quality of life.
Occupational therapy may include:
- Fine and gross motor control development
- One-handed dressing techniques, grooming, bathing and home management skills
- Training in the use of self-help aids
- Cognitive skills development
- Upper body strengthening and coordination
- Home evaluation to assess need for adaptive equipment and to promote safety
Speech Therapy
A number of conditions can contribute to the development of speech abnormalities or disorders. Our speech therapy program addresses language, hearing, communication and swallowing. The focus is on improving speech, language expression, comprehension and oral motor skills.
Speech therapy may include:
- Receptive/expressive language therapy
- Aphagia/dysphagia management
- Cognitive rehabilitation
Respiratory Therapy
Respiratory Therapy treats people with health care issues affecting the cardiopulmonary system such as asthma, emphysema, pneumonia, cardiovascular disorders, and trauma. The facility can provide nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy and other respiratory treatments. Our facility has recently added a respiratory vest machine that can significantly improve patient health.
Palliative Care
Our balance approach to palliative care makes a difference for Breese Nursing Home residents and families. We address the resident’s physical needs, as well as emotional, spiritual and social support. We work to offer comfort at every level. The resident and family will be supported by our staff at Breese Nursing Home.
